Delete your Gated data

Gated doesn't use usernames or passwords. Your carts, history and savings are saved against a random ID for your phone, linked to your Gated Pro subscription. You can delete this data at any time.

Option 1: in the app (fastest)

  1. Open Gated.
  2. Go to Menu → Account.
  3. Tap Delete my data and confirm.

Your data is deleted straight away, for that phone and any other phones linked to your subscription.

Option 2: by email

If you no longer have the app, email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my data". To help us find your data, include:

  • whether you used Gated on iPhone or Android; and
  • if you subscribed, your Apple or Google Play order number (from your purchase receipt email), or the email address on an older Gated account if you had one.

We'll confirm by email once your data is deleted, usually within 7 days and always within 30 days.

Older accounts with Sign in with Apple: your account email may be a private address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com. You can find it on your iPhone under Settings → [your name] → Sign in with Apple → Gated, where you can also tap Stop Using Apple ID.

What gets deleted

  • carts, saved items and their price history;
  • search and scan history;
  • confirmed savings and check-in answers;
  • onboarding answers (savings goal, categories, stores, postcode, spending ranges);
  • likes, blocks and cancellation reasons;
  • app usage statistics;
  • free-scan and discounted-offer records linked to your install; and
  • the link between your subscription and this data.

What isn't deleted

  • Your subscription. Deleting your data does not cancel Gated Pro. Cancel it yourself:
    • iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Gated → Cancel Subscription
    • Android: Google Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Gated → Cancel
  • Purchase records held by Apple, Google and our payments provider RevenueCat, which they keep under their own policies and legal obligations.
  • Deals you shared stay visible to other users but are no longer connected to you. Email us if you'd like one removed.
  • Search results cached without any IDs, which expire automatically within 35 days.
  • A scrambled (hashed) ID for your phone and its free-scan count, so free scans can't be restarted. It isn't linked to your install or subscription, and it's deleted 12 months after your last free scan. On iPhone, a copy may stay in your phone's Keychain until the phone is erased.
